In the above picture is a man who, by his stilts, breaks through the dark clouds to embrace the sunshine. It is obviously expressed that we should remain positive and optimistic although it is sombre around. And the reasons that optimism is necessary are enumerated as follows.
To begin with, optimism is the fountain of hope when we are at a low ebb. Since no one will own a life without any failure and frustration, we should know that all we are experiencing now are just the prologue of the brilliant future. And the hope, followed by the optimism, is what can help us hold on until the favourable turn is coming. Furthermore, optimism is the source of courage and fortitude, helping us find solution and overcome the difficulties. Confronted with difficulties and adversities, someone will be beaten unless he is optimistic. Since an optimistic person will try his best to find a right way to solve the problems rather than blame others and even the fate.
Since optimism can provide both hope and solution for us, during the down time, we ought to remember that, beyond the dark clouds bringing a violent storm, there must be the warm sunshine, which is waiting for us forever.
